4 Ways my cats affect me psychologically

I haven’t written a blog in a while, and there is a reason for that, yes you could say I’ve been just so busy having a full time job, I get home and have a furry and not so furry family to feed (hubby included).  So time sometimes just feels non-existent to actually sit down and write something down.

I’ve also experienced “writers block”.  But, alas, here I am, and this is a topic that I have been wanting to write about for ages.  I am not a certified psychologist, and I have absolutely no experience in the field other than what I’ve read in books, and obviously through my own experiences with owning cats.  So here are my ways that cats have affected me psychologically.

Disasters when you’re away – how do cats handle it?

As many of you have seen or read, I have three cats.  They are all boys and they all have a very special space in my heart.  I adore my cats, as many of our followers adore theirs too.  But this is a story about my three boys who recently went through what I would think is the most stressful situation any cat that resides in a loving home could go through.  Their humans left them alone with a stranger and a disaster occurred!

Thinking of giving your cat away?  4 reasons why you should reconsider

I have heard it so many times in my life – “My cat does not get along with my new puppy, looking for a good home for it”, or, “My husband is allergic to my cat… looking for a good home”.  This just breaks my heart to be honest.  A cat comes with so many responsibilities and is a lifelong commitment.  The moment you feel the need to get a cat you need to consider everything that could come your way with this little feline.  Don’t let it be an impromptu decision, it is one that should not come lightly, because at the end of the day, if it turns out to not suit your way of life, you will be to blame, but the cat is the one who suffers.
