Get-Off Mat

Step 1

Take any old dish towel :)

Step 2

Get double sided tape, place the tape on both sides of the towel as much as possible – ensure both sides are sticky.

And you're done!

You can now place it in any area where your cat tends to scratch unwantedly, or counters you don’t want your cat to have access to anymore.  The sensation of the stickiness will deter them from this area.  You can move it around as you wish, consider it a mobile magic carpet of stickiness that your cats will despise, you will idolise!

Catnip Mouse

Catnip Mouse

We all have that one sock that went into the washer with a partner, came out a loner!  Well, no need to despair anymore!  You can now use that one sock and fill it with all sorts of goodies for your cat’s delight!

Step 1

Fill old sock with Catnip, just less than half.

Step 2

Fill the rest of the sock with bells, beads, anything that could be tempting to your cat.

Step 3:

Take pipe cleaners to tie the sock up tight. To finish it off you can purchase beady eyes, use super glue and make it look like some sort of a creature.  Use your imagination!

Tupper-WHERE? Kitty Puzzle

It is so important to keep your indoor kitties hunting instincts active.  This promotes positive behaviour, and your cat will love you all the more for it! So here are the simple steps you can take to make your very own puzzle for your kitty.

Step 1

Purchase a decent sized Tupperware container, I would say it should be at least 30cm in length and about 20cm width.  The depth should be about 10cm or so.  Have a look at the picture below, so you have an idea of the ideal size for this project.

First of all, cut out about 6 holes in the lid, remember to make them big enough for your cat’s paw to fit through, but not too big so he can fit his whole head inside, this would defeat the purpose.

Step 2

Fill the Tupperware with all sorts of goodies from treats, balls, bells (for sound stimulation), to your and his heart’s content

And that's it!

And it is as easy as that.  Here too, you can make it look as attractive as you like with colourful tape for the holes, for example.  Add colour inside too with ribbons for example, this will make it all the more enticing!
